Hello and welcome to my page!
My name is Jackie and I am a psychotherapist in New York State. I specialize in working with anxiety, stress management, communication skills, self-esteem and relationship issues. I have been practicing therapy for almost ten years now and I have loved every minute of it!
I have an eclectic approach which includes cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, positive psychology, narrative psychology, acceptance & commitment therapy, exposure therapy and attachment-based therapy. I believe that every individual is unique, and therefore, requires a personalized therapy plan that will help to resolve their specific problems. It is not right or fair to impose one approach onto every single individual because that one approach will most likely not be beneficial to everyone.
We will work together as a team to develop a treatment plan that you will feel comfortable with and we will work at a pace that feels right for you.
The therapeutic process is one that is a wondrous journey into the soul that will help awaken new perspectives about the situation you are struggling with as well as help you see yourself and your life in a more positive light.
